Workshops

 

WHO?

 Anyone & Everyone!

All ages and backgrounds are welcome.

(Note: There may be a recommended minimum age for certain situations.)

 

WHAT?

  

 The workshops can include a variety of topics

including but not limited to:

 

Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced Mime Technique

Specific applications or categories of Technique

(Illusions, Statues, Body Symbolism, Body Control, etc.)

Enhancing Dramatic Performance

(Physicalization of character roles, stage blocking,

voice projection and articulation, oral interpretation and intonation, etc.)

Creative Worship

Choreography

(Principles of development, establishing a clear dramatic line,

critique of an already existing piece, or the actual learning of a new piece)

 

 

WHERE?

 Any venue including:

 schools, churches, universities,

 festivals, conferences, etc. 

 

HOW LONG?

Any length of time in one session or multiple sessions

 

Examples include:

One or more 30-45 minute sessions to fit into a class period

One or more 2-3 hour sessions to teach a church or drama group

in an evening or weekend afternoon

Two to three day intensive with the hours you set

One or more weeks with ongoing sessions on specified dates and times

in the morning, afternoon, and/or evening

 A workshop that concludes with a concert.
(The students will see the application of the techniques learned.)
 
 Incorporating the students into a concert.
In cases of longer workshops, scheduling a student concert.
(To give them an opportunity to apply the techniques and to perform.)
